I made a picture of setting up a arrangement structure.
It is the same arrangement structure you can do in a DAW.
I am following tutorials and must have the same arrangement structure to keep oversight.
Can i accomplanish this in Synfire Express..this type of arrangement structure ?
Or do i overlook it ?

That's possible, but it will look slightly different. The bottom container will be sorted above the containers that start later.

But that is exactly the issue here ..to preserve the DAW structure ( and keep oversight) it must follow the same order of instruments.
The order of instruments can give information about combination of instruments with a desired effect.
So the bottom container must not sorted above the containers later.
Is it maybe possible to lock a container what is starting at the begin ?

Synfire isn't a daw.. It's much more powerful than tat, plus I have yet to see any daw that allows a track to start later than another. All daws ave every track starting at th beginning and ending at the end, ok each track may only have notes part way through. You can do the same in synfire but you loose a lot if the flexibility and power.

That is for sure that Synfire is not a DAW, but i like to work with Synfire Express for now like a DAW for getting the same trackorder in my video tutorial...that's all
It is a question of flexibility of Synfire can do this too.
But it can't as i understand.
On this way there is a (1<->1)connection with a DAW and Synfire Express
plus I have yet to see any daw that allows a track to start later than another.
i don't understand this yet...

It is possible, even with SF Express. See attached Gif. The containers A, B, C, D, E, F that you see there extend over the whole arrangement and represent the "tracks". In each of them you can place a nested container. They contain the musical data. Since the "music data container" are nested in the "track container" they will not move vertically, when you move them along the timeline. But you can move each of the "music data container" easily to another "track container" by drag and drop.
Looks pretty much like a DAW, doesn't it? ;) But needless to say that this is not the usual way to use the program.

Yes, it looks on a DAW arrangment structure, but it is laborious for Synfire Pro.
Problem with this arrangment structure in Synfire Express that has only one nested level ..so are you planning to do more with containers.. its limited in use.
Should it not be possible to lock a container at the start ?

At the example in the GIF I have used only one nesting level. So this can be done also in SF Express.
