Cmd+T should cut notes lying out of selections boundaries

Thank you!

I think it'd be a nice option, but not the default.

The whole point with figures is that they are NOT a piano roll. Segments are kept together for a purpose. So splitting them needs to be expressly what the user wants (if they want it).

I just thought that by cutting a segment or a figure, Synfire would only recalculate the musically logical connection between the figures obtained after the cut

Sure it does so. Only that it won't split apart existing segments.

But I agree it's nice option to have if you have very long sustained notes.

My simplest workaround to remove unwanted notes is to select individual "notes" and press DELETE. Effective :)

@Andre exactly. It's a must have in cases like the following:

But there are many other cases where a kind of marquee tool would be very useful...

@Andre

partial copy/cut would also be very appreciated. The following, for example, will copy/cut the entire figure although I do want to cut only the last four segments...

I'm not a geek, but I guess iot should be a relatively quick feature to implement... maybe in the next 1.9 beta #72? ;-)
