I am sorry that i use now not so much words to explain my thougths and i am not a real star in writing In the English langauage, by keeping it short i think that i than make less faults. ( lazy sometimes too ..)
Rewire is only for transport in SFP/E to get the audiofile in the DAW in sync with SFP/E that is what i mean.
If you are still convinced that your prooved setup is the best, try out the other ones if you cannot decide what the best is
You want to use a loopbackdriver as i understand and this gives more latency than drones without a loopbackdriver with zero latency? Probably you can imitate your familiar setup also with drones ?

SFE is in my future, but I certainly will try it both ways when I get my hands on it ... my iLock is waiting!
As I said, it would be easy enough to test by recording midi in the DAW under both setups.
