Using GM for the instruments in a song, does the HN2 automatically send a program change midi out if I change the instruments voice/ patch?
Is there a way to send a 'snapshot' midi out to reset a GM module to the current patches of all instruments in a song?

There should be one in the Instrument menu. Something like "Send All Program Changes" or similar.

I've had a slight strange problem. There is no way to send sysex from SFP is there?
Occassionally Tyros 4 gets confused and switches to GM mode, and I need it to be in XG mode (which contains all the GM instruments+ more using MSB/LSB/PROG). I remedy it by re-powering Tyros and then send all instrument programs from SFP. Not really an issue, but a point for others with similar hardware. This is not a fault of SFP because it happens, with Logic and BIAB once in a great while.
