Say you have a container structure where where you just added things out as they come up, and now you want to create a better order.
Example:
Song name
>Intro (Root container for contianers below)
--- Strings
--- Woodwinds
--- Drums
--- Brass
Now I want to move "Drums" to the top so it's just below >Intro, but I can't make it happen no matter how I try to drag and drop it, it just seems to flail around with a will of its own.
The only way I can reorder is to move all containers out of >Intro and then move them back in the right order which is a bit combersome, especially if you have a complicated sctructure with multiple levels.
Is there a trick I'm missing?

^ On a similar note, I like to keep similar containers in the same row, but there has to be containers above to be able to place say my strings containers in row 3, else you have to resort to placing dummy containers to "push" it down where it should be.

The problem what i have with setting up a containerstructure that it cannot be the same like in a DAW
Suppose a (start)container 1 : beginning at the start and following their are some containers below this startcontainer starting at different positions , say container 2 at bar 3 and container 3 at bar 10
Than i cannot add a fourth container starting at the begin....
( i know Mark Styles should loves this !)

Is it possible to drag the end ot the child containers to the left to enlarge them without moving the contained phrases to the left, so the containters all line up while the phrases maintain their intended positions?
No. But you can create a new empty container at the desired position and make a snapshot of the old container into the new container. Then you will have the phrases of all instruments at the desired positions in the new container. Then you can delete the old container.
See attached Gif. There I have a phrase in a container positioned at measure 5. But I want a container starting at measure 1 with the phrase still located at measure 5. Therefore I create a new empty container starting at measure 1and then execute the command "Make snapshot". Then the phrase is at the desired position (measure 5) in the new container. After that I can delete the first container.
