Cubase Patch Files

Posted

We are experimenting with a feature that imports a Cubase Patch Files and creates a device description.

If anyone has a collection of these files, let us know. They look like this:

[cubase parse file]
[parser version 0001]
[device manufacturer] Yamaha
[device name] XG1
[script version] 1.02

[define patchnames]

[g2]        Pad
[p3, 88, 104, 10] NewHeaven
[p3, 88, 104, 11] FantasyBells
[p3, 88, 104, 13] ItopiaBells
[p3, 88, 104, 18] Sinesphere
[p3, 88, 104, 14] SpectrumTheme
[p3, 91, 104, 3] HeavenPad
[p3, 88, 104, 15] BreathBells

I have many for E-Mu, Ensoniq and Roland ... including most of the SRV-80 modules.

Why don't you start a list alphabetically by manufacturer and then alphabetically by synth/ module so we could see what needs to be added?

Thanks for the link. Are these files no longer included with current versions of Cubase? Are they still supported?

We would need all we can get. It would be great if device descriptions submitted by the community could be browsed directly in Synfire. Cubase files and midnam XML files could serve as a source for creating devices.

I have the ones that came with Cubase 6.5.  I think that a couple of the Yamaha ones are new, not sure about the others.

Where should I e-mail them to?
