MIDI Export Options

Posted

It would be useful if there were a couple of additional midi export options.

Most important/ useful would be the ability to strip program changes as an option. If I export a midi file to my DAW for use with non-GM voices, I do not want to have to take the extra time to  set up program change filters or have to open the list editor to delete program changes in the midi track.

It would also be useful to be able to delete volume and pan as an option. While I might want to use them during prototyping and even in the midi file if 'fader ganging' is implemented, it is easier to start fresh in the DAW with everything more or less set with velocity 100. Then I can record the tracks straight to audio and do all my level in the DAW where I have more control over the audio.

This is similar for pan, particularly if I am sending midi to a stereo instrument. I can do my panning during mixing.

How about using a MIDI Drone is no option for you  ?.. drag the midi into Cubase.

Janamdo ... this is HN2 suggestions. There are no drones. But, if it's not there. I'd like this option in SFP/E as well for exporting a midi file.
