MIDI keyboard not working since upgrade

I have upgraded to 1.6.6 and suddenly I get no response from my MIDI keyboard.  No sound when recording, no recorded 'take', not even a sound when an instrument is selected in an arrangement.  I haven't changed any settings, what am I doing wrong?

Hi petearch,

which keyboard are you using?

Windows or Mac?

Make sure "MIDI Input" is enabled for the keyboard's port in Audio & MIDI Setup.

Try disabling "Use Audio Engine for MIDI Input" on the Settings tab. If it makes a difference, please let us know.

Thank you Supertonic, MIDI Input was not enabled.  But how did it become disabled, I didn't change it?  Maybe the upgrade?
