When I go to the properties page on an instrument, it displays 'All Connected Devices.' If I open the menu and pick a specific device and then save the song, when I reopen the song and look at instument properties it again displays 'All Connected Devices,' not the preferred device I'd chosen for the song.
Is this a bug?

I think that on the audio& midi setup screen you must assign the right loaded device description than ?
I tested it and when i open the arrangment the soundassigning is correct in the sound property screen, but indeed you cannot see what device description is used.
You already know the device description from the audio& midi setup screen in advance , so you can chance the jumpmenu from the sound property screen.
It has to do with the properties of the jumpmenu ?..why the present used device description is not showing up.

It's not a bug.
The browser always offers all available shared sounds for selection. You have the option to narrow that selection down to individual devices in order to find a specific sound more quickly, but that is not a permanent setting.

So, we should say 'dynamic midi ports and channels?'
If you find a specific sound you want to use, why wouldn't you want to retain that voice in the song upon reopening?
I would like to see the character changed so that the device selection could be saved.
