If you happen to get the message "You can't open the application because it may be damaged or incomplete" when starting HN2 or Synfire Pro on a Mac, you should do the following:
- Be sure you are logged in with a user that has admin rights.
- Run Disk Utility's "Repair Permissions" on your startup volume.
- Reinstall the Cognitone software.
We do not know yet why this happens in the first place, but it seems to happen to a few users every now and then. We were unable to reproduce the message on any of our Macs.

I highly reccoment "Disk Doctor" if will find add fix problems that elude Apple's dist utility. It must run from another boot volume or be on USB stick or CD. Fastest is to make a small 2nd boot volume, put that and tech tool pro on, also that way. Also create a 2nd account on your main boot volume, It's often permissions for one user that get corrupted, a 2nd admistrator account is a safe precaution.
