If you have thousands of audio plug-ins, they happen to be re-scanned every time Synfire is started.

There's a known issue with Synfire 1.10.8 where on older versions of Mac OS X, the scanner reports plugins not loading correctly.

This error message prevented users from opening Synfire or HN in a few reported cases.

You may see a message warning you that the downloaded package "is not from an identified developer". If you downloaded directly from the Cognitone site, you can safely ignore this message.

This message indicates that one or more folders on your Mac have restrictive permissions that hinder Synfire from looking up system information.

A message shows up "You can't open the application because it may be damaged or incomplete" when starting HN2 or Synfire Pro on a Mac.
